Railroad Tracks by eborch Railroad Tracks by eborch
An oil painting of some old railroad tracks near my home. It was painted with a dental syringe to add texture.

Just wondering how you used the syringe? Because every time I try the oil paints seem to be too thick to come out the end and end up in a mess.

The dental syringes I used were plastic. I had to cut the syringe back at the end a little to widen the opening. I went through several of them because after ahwile the plastic starts to lose it's form.

makes me think of fauve, pointillism, and impressionism :)
(and you're in my good books for using unconventional tools!)

Painting is very relaxing, but it takes a long time to produce the images I like. Is that your poetry on your page?

I enjoyed what I read. You leave some room for interpretation, which I like.
